Our Mission:

Making disciples who make disciples

As you may have seen on the home page, we exist to "Make Disciples Who Make Disciples." But a deeper question is, "How do we do this?" There are three primary ways we make disciples: We love. We serve. We give.

There are two primary ways we do this. We are called to 1) love God completely and 2) love others compassionately. These come directly from the Great Command that Jesus gives in Matthew 22:37-39.

Matthew 22:37-39 (CSBBible)

He said to him, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important command. The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself."

We believe God has called us to serve one another selflessly. This pours out of the great love that God has shown to us through His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus said that He did not come to Earth in order to be served, but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many (Matthew 20:28). Just as He laid His own life down for you and me, we are called to lay our lives down in service to one another.

Philippians 2:3 (CSBBible)

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves.

Because He has already given us so much, we believe God has called us to give back to him sacrificially in three primary areas: Our time, our talents, and our treasures. The Bible teaches that we give not in order to gain blessings from God, but because we have received blessings already. God already owns everything (Psalm 24:1). We give back to Him because He has so graciously given to us.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (CSBBible)

The point is this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously. Each person should do as he has decided in his heart —not reluctantly or out of compulsion, since God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work.
